The Spring Fairy is A Song For Spring that encourages children to go outside and look for clues of the changing season.
When spring arrives every year it’s always so exciting! It’s brings with it the promise of a new season with everything fresh and renewed.
But the last bit of winter seems to drag and we’re desperate to spot signs that spring is on the way!
The Spring Fairy
February comes along
With tiny hints of spring,
Then emerald shoots
Start to appear,
Or are they fairy wings?
*
March is when the spring will come,
New lambs are on the hills,
And the Spring Fairy brings her wand
To paint the daffodils.
(sing to the same tune as Mary Mary Quite Contrary – (The Spring fairy free sheet music )
This is a song for spring that’s perfect to accompany some of the lovely crafts which are so much fun to do at this time of year. If you’re looking for inspiration, take a peek at our Spring into Easter Pinterest board which is packed with ideas!
Another lovely song for this time of year is All Around the Daffodils. It’s a circle game for spring where the children hold hands up high to form arches or windows. One child is chosen to hold the small bunch of daffodils, and starts to weave in and out of the windows.
