All The Little Ducks Go Upside Down : Action Song

March 30, 2024 By Sara Mullett

All the Little Ducks is such a cute action song for toddlers to sing about little ducklings diving upside down in the pond!  It’s great fun because it not only encourages the singing, but includes lots of lively movement and giggles too!

Toddler Action Song about Ducks

All the Little Ducks go Upside Down

All the little ducks go upside down,

upside down, upside down,

All the little ducks go upside down

as they dabble at the bottom of the pond.

*

All their little beaks go snap, snap, snap,

snap, snap, snap,  snap, snap, snap,

All their little beaks go snap, snap, snap,

as they dabble at the bottom of the pond.

*

All their little tails go wiggle, waggle, wiggle,

wiggle, waggle, wiggle, wiggle, waggle, wiggle,

All their little tails go wiggle, waggle, wiggle,

as they dabble at the bottom of the pond.

*

Actions

First verse: Bobbing upside down

Second verse: Snapping hands together like beaks

Third verse: Wiggling their bottoms!

*

This is a really cute action song that’s always very popular with toddlers.  Especially as they’re always so keen to do their little duckling impersonations, diving upside down with heads bobbing down and bottoms up in the air!

This song has a simple and catchy tune, which is easy to pick it up and remember for small children because it has a limited range.

The actions are simple too:-  bobbing upside down in the first verse,  snapping hands together like beaks in the second verse and wiggling bottoms like waddling ducks for the third verse.

‘All The Little Ducks’ is also excellent for learning to swim too, because it gets little ones used to putting their faces in the water, and obviously helps with building up swimming confidence.
