Celtic songs For Kids

A St Paddy’s Party Playlist

Celtic songs are a wonderful way to get kids moving to music and working out those wiggles! They’re great for encouraging some improvised Irish dancing, or Ceilidh-ing.  Remember you don’t have to be an expert to have a go, kids are perfectly happy just marching and skipping  to the music.

Michael Finnegan Song

This traditional Irish folk song is tons of fun, with it’s catchy rhythm and tongue twister words, and comes with a FREE stick puppet and sheet music.

St Patrick’s Day lesson Plan

A 30 minute music lesson plan written specially to celebrate the customs and traditions of St Patrick’s Day. Older children will love this magical theme with the Rainbow Circle Game and Pot Of Gold Rhythm activity. While younger ones love the little leprechaun puppet and the jolly Celtic jigs! All the required sheet music and printable resources included.

I Can Sing A Rainbow

Although rainbows can happen at any time of year in the UK, it’s traditional to associate I Can Sing A Rainbow with St Paddy’s day because that’s where those little leprechauns hide their pots of gold! Check out the post for the free sheet music.
