Robin Redbreast : Kids Songs for Christmas

November 11, 2021 By Sara Mullett 1 Comment

Robin Redbreast from our Kids Songs for Christmas collection is a sweet little song about a Robin who comes to visit your garden at Christmas time.

Here’s a little friend who crops up every Christmas!  Robin Redbreast can actually be spotted in gardens all year round, but it is around Christmas that we actually notice him the most, a little splash of colour to brighten up the day!

Robin Red Breast – Kids Songs For Christmas

When Christmas time is coming near,

And snow clouds fill the air,

There’s a tap, tap, tap on my window pane,

And Robin Redbreast is here again!

*

He stands there on my window sill,

Just singing on and on,

Then he’ll tap, tap. tap for me to see,

Robin Redbreast has come to me,

With his happy Christmas song!

This simple little song from our Kids’ songs for Christmas series has such a catchy tune, have a listen to the video above to find out how it goes.

It is really sweet when sung with a little toy robin, like the ones you can get for Christmas decorations. Children love to pretend that he is real, and are very keen to feed him crumbs while you sing this little song.

This is a lovely song to accompany some Christmas craft activities, or perhaps you could go on a bird spotting walk together?   It is such a wonderful thing to nurture your child’s love and appreciation of nature.
