Kids always love a snowman! But depending where you live, the opportunity to make them isn’t all that frequent. When my kids were small they were always praying for snow!
Here’s a very simple little song that’s so quick and easy to pick up because it borrows it’s tune from an old favourite, I’m A Little Teapot.
And this craft is a clever way to make sure your child gets a snowman who they can keep all winter long!
I’m a Little Snowman
I’m a little snowman short and fat!
Here’s my scarf and here’s my hat!
When the snow is falling hear me say,
Build a snowman every day!
*
I’m a little snowman short and fat!
Here’s my scarf and here’s my hat!
When the weather warms up, tee, hee, hee
I’ll melt and there’s no more of me!
(sung to the tune of I’m a Little Teapot)
How To Make A Cuddly Snowman
This little snowman is very quick and easy to make:
I used the inside stuffing of a pillow to shape two snow balls, one half the size of the other. Use the odd cotton stitch here and there, to hold the balls in their round shape. Finally stitch them together with the small one sitting on top of the larger one.
Use buttons for his eyes, a small wool pompom for his nose, and a smiley mouth out of plaited red wool. You can dress him in whatever you have handy that fits – a hat and scarf being the obvious choice!
He’s a cute little friend who won’t melt over night!
Very cute. I found you on Create it Saturday. I would love you to link to Creative Saturdays.
