The idea of little yellow chicks hatching from their eggs couldn’t be more in tune with the Spring season!

Spring Song : 6 Brown Eggs in a Nest of Hay
Six brown eggs in a nest of hay,
One yellow chick popped out to play!
*
Five brown eggs in a nest of hay,
Another yellow chick cheep, cheeped “Good day!”
*
Four brown eggs in a nest of hay,
One more chick pecked his shell away,
*
Three brown eggs in a nest of hay,
Crack went another one! Hip, Hooray!
*
Two brown eggs in a nest of hay,
Another yellow chick popped out to play!
*
One brown egg in a nest of hay,
The last yellow chick popped out to say…
“HAPPY EASTER!”

Sung to the tune of Four Currant Buns in a Baker’s Shop this song is excellent practice for counting and subtracting. It is a really good visual aid for small children who may find counting backwards quite challenging.

Wonderful, just love it. Interactive crafty music is a winner #getyourcrafton
